At a young age Maya J. developed a strong desire to better the lives of others and wanted to help people feel more comfortable  in their own skin while embracing their natural beauty.

Maya became fascinated with the beauty and cosmetic industry after moving to California in her early twenties.  She attended Paul Mitchell the School in Fresno, CA and earned her license in cosmetology in 2010.

 

Since then she has obtained certifications in body sculpting, lash extensions, microblading and microshading, teeth whitening, tooth gems, hyaluron pen, fat dissolve injections, Ice Body Sculpting, CPR,  Barbicide and Covid-19 Prevention, and her most recent benchmark gaining the title of Certified Massage Therapist and Health Educator from studying at National Holistic Institute in Sacramento, CA.

Maya has always been able to capture and appreciate the beauty of other people.  Knowing that people often struggle with the appreciation and acceptance of their own appearance and loving themselves wholeheartedly, Maya has dedicated herself to helping people find their glow and become more comfortable and confident in themselves.

Maya has a strong work ethic, and takes pride in improving the quality of life of those around her.  With that as her focus she founded Bodyluxe Glow Bar in 2021, Sacramento's number one beauty and wellness day spa designed to help others find their glow.
